Why DV Awareness Month Matters

Domestic violence affects individuals and families in every community. Survivors may face significant barriers when seeking safety, including financial instability, housing insecurity, isolation, fear, and concern for their children.

Throughout October, Haven Hills joins organizations across the country in raising awareness, supporting survivors, and encouraging communities to take action.

By participating in A Day of Hope & Healing, you are helping:

  • Raise awareness about domestic violence

  • Connect survivors with critical resources

  • Reduce stigma and isolation

  • Support children and families impacted by abuse

  • Build a stronger and more informed community

  • Show survivors that help, hope, and healing are possible
